ULTRA GUARD

Ultra guard is a two component (acrylic/cementitious) flexible waterproof protective coating for marble/stone, concrete and masonry substrate. Ultra Guard is a elastromeric ready to use two part system, which waterproof/weatherproofs and protects concrete and similar structures. Specially formulated for wide range of applications:- Swimming pools, retaining walls, pile heads, submerged tunnels, stones/marbles, bridge deck, bathrooms, permanent wet areas and wide variety of extreme service class structures.

Uses:

Cemguard PC 400 can be applied to new or old concrete structures that are structurally sound:

  • Swimming pool internal waterproof coating.
  • Marble/ Stonebase waterproof/ Vapour barrier coating
  • Concrete Roof Slabs, wet areas, floor slabs of Balcony
  • Pile Head Waterproofing
  • Bathrooms, Toilets and Water tanks
  • Bridge Deck canals and Treatment Plants
  • Structural Surfaces of dykes and dam walls
  • Waterproof Coating ( bottom coat ) for marble, granite and other natural stones.
  • Excellent weatherproof coating.

Curing

It is essential that good concreting practice is performed and maintained at every stage of the application process. Ensure that Ultra guard is cured properly after application. Minimum 3 days curing is essential before flooding.

Ultra guard is a two-part system supplied as a preblended powder mix and a new generation of environmentally friendly acrylic emulsion specifically designed to modify cement composition.

Health and safety

Ulta guard is alkaline and should not come into contact with skin or eyes. Avoid inhalation of ust during mixing. Gloves, goggles and dust masks should be worn. Splashes to eyes should be washed immediately with water & seek medical advice.

Application Instructions

Apply the first coat at an average 800 – 1000 micron and fill all the poros completely. Second coat should apply ( approx. 1mm) only after the completecuring (min 48 hours) of the first coat. We recommend that, the treated area should be protected against direct sunlight and damp cured by covering with damp hessian or similar. But not compulsory. Do not flood or over expose to water until it is completely cured.

Standards

Virgin polypropylene mesh can be used over joints, cracks and whole reinforcement application. When the completion of the first coat installs the mesh tightly and overcoat the entire area.

Bathrooms / Wet Areas

Surface should be cleaned and remove all loose particles prior to Ultra Guard applications. Wet the surface prior to the application. Surrounding the pipes & fittings must be treated with Ultra Guard EP system. Corners/ Edges should be carefully treated with fibre mesh reinforcement.
Two coat of Ultra Guard applied @1kg/m2 first coat by a masonry brush or appropriate power spray equipment. All applications where two coats are recommended, the second coat shall be applied when the first coat is completely dried. Do not flood or over expose to water until it is completely cured. Total build up thickness > 1mm DFT. Recommended to apply two coats @ 1mm thick at a coverage of approximately 1kg/m2.

Marble / Stone Waterproofing

Recommended to apply one coat @ 1 mm thick at a coverage of approximately 0.7 – 1kg/m2.

Shelf Life

ULTRA GUARD shelf-life period of 12 months, if stored in a cool and dry environment.
